Take home messages:
Disorders of Gut-Brain Interaction (DGBI) have complex pathophysiology and affect more than 40% of people worldwide. Around 15% of people in EU are suffering with irritable bowel syndrome. Patients are dissatisfied with their current solutions and Pharmacists can help them to open up the conversation about symptoms and tailored options/solutions. There are new options available in the markets that work by targeting the underlying cause of IBS.
