Different formulations and combination (new spray combination benzydamine and cetylpiridinium, with a broad spectrum of microbial action) will be presented. Latest Benzydamine clinical trial results will be presented (BePair, BeChild studies). Programme:

Learning objectives: 1. Understanding the main aspects of sore throat and mouth inflammation management. 2. Identify the role of pharmacists in self-care schemes that support the management of sore throat and mouth inflammation, focusing on cases not linked to bacterial infections. 3. Understanding data from recent clinical trials on adult patients with acute sore throat (Be Pair Study) and in children from 6 to 12 years (BeChild study). Take home messages: Updating on the management of sore throat and different symptoms/ patient profiles. The importance of quality of life and main PRO (Patient Reported Outcome) used in clinical trials with patient with acute sore throat.
